A structured and well-planned training programme is an important basis for employees to solve their tasks satisfactorily, without waste of time, delays, and break downs.
The training plan also serves as documentation in relation to external financing to the project from organisations such as Danida, Nopef, and IFU.
DIBD's assistance with regards to training plans is primarily aimed at the persons in the organisation who are involved in transfer of knowledge and technology from the Danish company to the foreign partner. It can be both the Managing Director, HR Manager, Production Manager and/or potential expatriates.
The process can be divided into four phases:
1. Assessment: Your company can get assistance in defining the needs for training and transfer of technology and know-how. Furthermore, the objectives for the training are defined.
2. Development: Here we can assist your company in defining the content of the training, including methods, material, location, trainers, and target group.
3. Implementation: During this phase the training is conducted in accordance with the decisions and procedures determined in the development phase. Here, the consultancy will focus on the role of the trainer and how he/she could improve the training
4. Evaluation: In this phase we can assist you in evaluating the training and assess whether the training effort has paid off and the trainees are able to apply and implement their new skills. There may be a need for adjustments of the training programme based on the results of the evaluation.
A training plan is often developed in connection with the business plan. The development of the training plan takes place at the location of the foreign partner and the location of the company in Denmark.
The consultancy involves close dialogue with the representatives of the Danish and international companies. The consultant needs to have access to relevant information about both organisations and their employees, job descriptions, human resource policies etc.
The consultancy includes continuous guidance and assistance as well as development of the training plan.
The price depends on the scope of the project and is agreed upon after a meeting with a consultant from DIBD.
