Areas of responsibility
Heidi's areas of responsibility are focused on assisting Danish companies with business development and strategizing in relation to their international activities. Main areas are market analyses, partner identification, development of business plans, strategies, and training plans, as well as financial evaluations and JV set-ups, primarily focusing on Southern Africa and Latin America.
Competences and experience
Heidi joined DIBD in November 2005. Her work has mainly been concentrated on assisting Danish companies with their international expansion. Heidi has therefore vast experience with business development, strategizing, and partnerships. The majority of the projects have involved funding from Danida’s B2B programme.
Before joining DIBD, Heidi worked a number of years in Spain for various international companies, thus acquiring knowledge about a broad range of industries and areas of business. The experience gained is benefitting Heidi in her daily work at DIBD as she has valuable insight into various functions within both organisations and industries. Just as valuable is her understanding of different cultures and the effect on business ventures between companies from different cultural settings, which has been part of Heidi's daily work during her years abroad as well as in Denmark.
In addition to her years in Spain, Heidi has also lived and worked in Germany and Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and speaks some German. Her main interest is within strategizing, business development, and network theories.
